Summary:
The
11-8 Residential Aide, in keeping with Pathfinder Village's purpose, provides
ongoing resident care in the areas of health, safety, and cleanliness. The specific duties of this shift primarily
refer to the residential home cleanliness, resident clothing care, and
supervision.
Essential
Duties and Responsibilities include
the following. Other duties may be assigned.
·
Supervise and assist
residents in the AM with bed making, dressing, personal hygiene, etc.
·
Maintain a clean and
safe environment.
·
Supervision of morning
meal.
·
Use of dishwasher,
microwave, electric stove, etc.
·
Administer medications
as assigned.
·
Maintain medical,
social, behavior, and goal books/plans as needed.
·
Attend meetings, case
reviews, and staff development programs as assigned.
·
Documentation as
assigned.
·
Shovel all necessary
sidewalks and driveways.
·
Responsible for all
other duties as assigned by the Director of Residential Services, Director of Program
Services, and/or Chief Executive Officer.
· Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with established agency policies and applicable state and federal regulations.

Education
and/or Experience:
High
school diploma or G.E.D.
Language
Skills:
Ability
to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize
similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability
to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10's and
100's. Ability to perform these
operations using units of American money, and weight, volume, and distance
measurement.
Reasoning
Ability:
Ability
to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step
instructions. Ability to deal with
standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Demands:
While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk
and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to
finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is
occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and
taste or smell. The employee must
frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move
more than 100 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work
Environment:
While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to
outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually
moderate.
