Conference Brochure Here The Kennedy•Willis Center on Down Syndrome, Pathfinder Village's education, counseling and research arm, is presenting a "don't miss" conference on sexuality, socialization and relationship issues as they pertain to people who have Down syndrome. The conference will feature presentations by experts Joseph Anastasio, Stephanie King and Leslie Walker-Hirsch, as well as informal work sessions devoted to discussions/skill building activities to help family members, care providers, counselors, educators and medical staff who assist people with disabilities in conducting their daily relationships. As people who have Down syndrome live longer and experience more that the world has to offer, it is only natural that they will explore issues of sexuality and will want to form meaningful relationships. It is incumbent upon those who serve this population to be aware of these issues, to assist individuals as they forge social relationships, and to promote these relationships in a safe and healthy context. The May 6th conference will cost $75 per person, or $50 per person if two or more representatives from the same agency attend (non-refundable). The fee includes conference materials, a hot buffet lunch and other refreshments. Seating is limited; please register by April 1, 2008 to placement. Payment should be made payable to The Kennedy•Willis Center on Down Syndrome. To receive more information, please email, phone or write:
